    Text : The Pyramids of Giza

    The Seven Wonders refer to the world’s seven most beautiful and impressive monuments.These monuments,built in ancient time,are located in different parts of the world.

    The Pyramids of Giza constitute one of the seven wonders , they are located at Giza,a suburb of Cairo in Egypt. They are;″Cheops″,″Khafre″ and ″Menkaure″ but ″Cheops″ is the oldest one and it is named <The Great Pyramid> The most impressive of them all, it was built by the Egyptian<Pharaoh Khufu> around the year 2,560 BC .

    The Great Pyramid alone is made of more than 2million blocks of stone and has a square base. It weighs about 6,3 million tons and it is 147 metres high :

    Inside the Great Pyramid are 2chambers ;the Queen’s chamber and above it, the King’s one ;each of them has ventilation shafts to the exterior.

    Though the Pyramids of Giza are the oldest of the seven wonders,they are still majestuously standing ,defying Man and Time
